Problems associated with article marketing

When you click on search engines, your keywords will literally result in thousands of websites. You can thank article marketing for that little fact.

Article marketing is the use of well-written articles to supply information on a topic that is closely related to a product. For instance, if you are selling a medicine on diabetes, a great way to promote the product and to catch the eye of people with diabetes is to write an article about diabetes! That way, your target market will be captured.

Articles used for this type of marketing will often include a bio box that will list down the company, the product and the contact details. Some will even have pictures of the product beside it. Quality articles that are used in this field are often informative and short. After all, you want to keep them interested and not bore them to death!

Article marketing has now become an online phenomenon. More and more articles about a variety of subject areas are being uploaded everyday over the internet. People who have websites have turned to articles to increase their page views.

In turn, they are supported by online advertisers who rely on their page views for advertisement views and consumer awareness. Search engines also rely on the articles submitted to their directories to rank websites during a search. The more articles in the directory, the better the rank.

But the use of online article marketing has lowered the quality of the materials that are being posted over the internet. Instead of the well-written articles that inform consumers about a relevant topic, websites post materials that are haphazardly written. Check some of the websites from the search engines’ lists and you will see for yourself the quality of the internet articles posted.

What you may also notice is a lot of duplication. Articles can be used from different directory sites and a number of people might have picked up the same article.

Another problem is that a lot of writers from NESB bid for article jobs offering their work for mere cents in the dollar. When they write articles in English it becomes immediately obvious that their English language skills are anything but proficient: the lack of correct grammar, spelling and sentence construction results in very poor quality articles.

Reliability is another issue with article marketing. Since articles are written primarily for the search engine rank and the page views for advertisers, most articles will no longer contain any authors. This is often considered to be an unreliable source of information, especially for people who are researching technical pieces.

My most important tip here is to employ writers whose first language is English if you are marketing your website in English. Native speakers and writers are the most proficient of course. Pay a little more, you get what you pay for in this case!

What Does It Take To Succeed In Article Marketing?

What does it take to succeed in article marketing? That is the question you have to ask if you plan to use this cost effective form of advertising to promote your business. If you think about it, anybody can do it. You just have to know some of the basics.

When we talk of basics, the article regardless of the topic should be timely, consistent and informative. This is because you want to bring value to the readers even if in the end, you are making them avail of your product or service.

This begins from the title itself because catchy ones will make the reader want to know more about what you have to say.

As you work on the first paragraph all the way to the end, write this in a conversational tone. This allows you to connect with the reader as though you are talking with them face to face.  In fact, one of the best words to use is “you” because you are their advocate.

In writing the article, make sure to list down the benefits. Remember, people are more inclined to buy something if they know that there is something they can gain from using your product. For instance, you are writing an article on weight loss and you have something that can help make that happen. Just make sure of course you are able to deliver. Keep thing simple so even the average Joe can understand the message you are trying to convey.

The last part of the article should have a link to your website. Another way of doing it is to use the resource box. These two things are important because after reading your article, you want that person to visit your website. The same goes if what you are offering is a service and the only way to do that is to let them get in touch with you.

You should also post your work in other websites as well as your own so you are able to reach a wider audience. Keep in mind there are thousands of websites now and nobody will able to see your articles without the help of search engines. This is why keywords are very important. These should also be integrated to the article so choose these carefully so it will not disrupt the natural flow of content.

Don’t expect to write articles very well if you have never done this before. Just like any other skill, it takes time to develop and practice makes perfect. One way to do this is to read how other writers do it and then try to apply this to your own. You can attend a few writing classes as well so you can get feedback from your instructors.

So what does it take to succeed in article marketing? Basically good writing skills because how you do it may or may not increase website traffic. Those who have tried but failed have decided to enlist the help of a professional writer instead given that they have the experience to achieve what you are trying to put down on paper.

In the end, it is all about content which should be relevant to whatever you are selling otherwise you are just wasting the reader’s time.

Are you interested in seeing some PLR articles? Go check the Fr.ee Reports link now. There are a whole bunch of them zipped up for you to play with. PLR stands for “Private Label Rights”. Authors often sell their articles and the copyright to a depository house. These get delivered to various ‘wholesalers’ on the internet. Often you have to buy a subscription to get your hands on tons of these articles, ebooks and reports.

Because I have purchased tons of them, I am entitled to give away, sell, re-write and publish any of this material. this is the spirit of the internet. It’ll save you heaps of time. It will start you thinking on a topic of interest and jump start you to completing an original unique article of your own.

All successful sites use PLR material. You are entitled to put your name to this material if you want. So check out the freebies- they are yours to do whatever you want with them. Just remember to re-write them before you submit them to article directories. All articles are scanned in article directories so that any article with the same content as another will be deleted. You don’t want a bad reputation before you start!

Also be aware that a lot of the PLR material is crap. It must be re-written to give it some quality and credibility. Check each zipped content file to see if it comes with another text file. Very occasionally the seller of the PLR puts one or two restrictions on the articles use.

Private Label Rights is a type of content that, once purchased, allows you to reuse that content as your own. Although every publisher gives different rights with their content, you are usually able to rewrite it, add your name, divide it up and sometimes even publish it as is. How smart is that? Take one PLR article, re-write it, break it into smaller articles which you can then submit to article directories. That was easy.

There are a lot of other things that you can do with the product. You can give it away as a bonus, use it to build your list, use the content to use as an autoresponder sequence to your list, use it as content for your web site, break it down into smaller articles etc.

If you haven’t been using PLR products, I’ve got some good news for you and some bad news for you. The bad news is that you have been missing out, the good news is that you can really start to make some serious money using PLR products.

If you’re going to make money online you have to be able to manage your time. One thing that using PLR products does, is free up so much time.

You don’t have to spend that time writing new products. You don’t have to write that content for your web site, you don’t have to write all of those articles etc.

That’s huge because that’s time that you could be spending doing other things. You just have to find a place to get really good PLR products and once you find that place you can keep coming back for more.

When you buy PLR products you have to look at it as an investment. It’s an investment because you’re buying the product, in order to save time and make money from it.

What Is Article Marketing?

Article Marketing is essentially writing and distributing short articles to a variety of outlets, including article repositories, which are also called article directories and article banks, forums, and newsletter publishers. Article marketing is one of the most effective types of marketing that one can do – it is also one of the least expensive ways to market a business. In fact, it can even be free, costing you nothing more than your time.

There are many benefits to article marketing. Because articles become viral, your message literally travels far and wide, increasing traffic to your website and increasing newsletter signups. Article marketing is also used to make sales and to build credibility. Anyone who wants to establish themselves as an expert in their niche should take advantage of all that article marketing has to offer.

Here is how it works. Let’s say that you are in the weight loss niche, and you sell various weight loss products, whether they are your own products or products of which you are an affiliate. You write a weight loss article, preferably one that is closely related to one of your products – but you don’t want to necessarily advertise the product in the article.

Instead, you want to address a problem that the product can help to solve in your article – without mentioning the product. For instance, if you sell a cellulite cream, you can write an article about what cellulite is, what causes it, and the various methods used to get rid of it. The article should be no more than 750 words, and have a compelling title.

At the bottom of your article, you include an author’s resource box. This is basically a block of text, made up of one paragraph that is anywhere from five to seven lines long. In this paragraph, you might say something like this:———————————————————————————————————–

John Doe is a weight loss expert who has helped hundreds of people get and keep weight off. You can find more valuable weight loss information and help at his website, John Doe’s Weight Loss Secrets, located at http://www.johndoe.com . You can find specific information for getting rid of cellulite at http://www.johndoe.com/cellulite.html .

Once you have written your article, ensured that you have made all of the points that you wanted to make, and checked the article for spelling and grammar mistakes, you are ready to distribute it.

Distributing an article can be a very time consuming task. Many people outsource this work, and pay a fee for someone else to do the distribution work. Other’s do it themselves using software that automates the process. You should note, however, that a large number of the best article repositories do not allow or approve articles that are auto submitted – and they can tell when this is done. Manual submissions – whether done by you or someone else – is always best.

The article is distributed to the article repositories first. There are hundreds of these in existence, and some are better than others. For these repositories, you will need your article, the title, possibly a sub title, your author’s resource box, your website Url, your email address, a short description of your article, and a list of keywords, separated by commas, for your article.

Essentially, you visit each article repository, either sign up for a new account or log in, and copy and paste all of the information into a form that is provided for article submissions. Most article repositories have a manual approval process, so it may take a week or more before your article appears on their website.

Once you have submitted to the article repositories, you will want to distribute your article to ezine publishers that cover topics within your niche. You can build your own database of these publishers. You find them by visiting the ezine directories.
