Overcoming Issues in Article Marketing

Problems associated with article marketing

When you click on search engines, your keywords will literally result in thousands of websites. You can thank article marketing for that little fact.

Article marketing is the use of well-written articles to supply information on a topic that is closely related to a product. For instance, if you are selling a medicine on diabetes, a great way to promote the product and to catch the eye of people with diabetes is to write an article about diabetes! That way, your target market will be captured.

Articles used for this type of marketing will often include a bio box that will list down the company, the product and the contact details. Some will even have pictures of the product beside it. Quality articles that are used in this field are often informative and short. After all, you want to keep them interested and not bore them to death!

Article marketing has now become an online phenomenon. More and more articles about a variety of subject areas are being uploaded everyday over the internet. People who have websites have turned to articles to increase their page views.

In turn, they are supported by online advertisers who rely on their page views for advertisement views and consumer awareness. Search engines also rely on the articles submitted to their directories to rank websites during a search. The more articles in the directory, the better the rank.

But the use of online article marketing has lowered the quality of the materials that are being posted over the internet. Instead of the well-written articles that inform consumers about a relevant topic, websites post materials that are haphazardly written. Check some of the websites from the search engines’ lists and you will see for yourself the quality of the internet articles posted.

What you may also notice is a lot of duplication. Articles can be used from different directory sites and a number of people might have picked up the same article.

Another problem is that a lot of writers from NESB bid for article jobs offering their work for mere cents in the dollar. When they write articles in English it becomes immediately obvious that their English language skills are anything but proficient: the lack of correct grammar, spelling and sentence construction results in very poor quality articles.

Reliability is another issue with article marketing. Since articles are written primarily for the search engine rank and the page views for advertisers, most articles will no longer contain any authors. This is often considered to be an unreliable source of information, especially for people who are researching technical pieces.

My most important tip here is to employ writers whose first language is English if you are marketing your website in English. Native speakers and writers are the most proficient of course. Pay a little more, you get what you pay for in this case!

Simple Ways to Start Creating The Marketing Article

Simple Ways to Start Creating The Marketing Article

If your web site contains everything about your business or it may be your complete business, you still need to get the word out and market yourself. Have you ever heard about the marketing article? This is a very effective way to capture many people’s attention, providing them with information that is of interest to them.

How to Write
Do you ever blog? Or have you written to a loved one? You are off to a good start. Everybody knows how to write something. But how to write for an audience takes a little extra knowledge of course. The reason for writing is the same in both cases: you are writing because you want your materials or information to be read.

Professional writers may do the task for a salary but ask any passionate writers out there and they will tell you that they are writing first and foremost because they love what they are doing. They want people to read their stuff. They want to help and inform others.
Read, Help, Inform
Remember these three principles. Use these to guide you when you sit down to write your first article. So where do you begin? Easy, firstly, what is your business about? Who is your target market? Then think about how to speak to them. They are the people to whom you are going to address your articles.

So let’s say your products are flowers. You are targeting professionals, married couples, young couples. Actually, anybody can be interested in your product. You can also focus on hotel management or the restaurateurs, even funeral homes and services. You can write articles that will go: ‘how to improve your hotel’s business with flowers,’ or ‘your restaurant’s ambience at its best.’

Next to consider are the rules that apply to internet writing, in order to succeed in this venture.

1. Short paragraphs

Your articles must be written for easy reading. You must understand that the people who will search the web for information don’t really have much time. Added to that, they will only be scanning your articles before they read the whole thing. Why? The web will provide them with a lot of, if not better choices for the subject that they are researching about.

2. Article submission sites

You must first join in the forums regarding this matter to get a feedback of your chosen sites. You must check the sites’ Google ranking and their ranking in Alexa. You must choose the ones that rank high and have a high volume of traffic.

3. Word count

Upon knowing to which sites you are going to submit your articles, you need to go over the rules on the site: the word count is the main rule and abide by it. There are sites that will accept a minimum of 300 word count for articles. Others will ask for a 500 or more minimum word count. You have to check and make sure to make sure that your materials will not get rejected.

And lastly, in creating a marketing article, do not forget to fill out the author’s bio box. This is your space to create a link to your own web site. This is how you earn your keep in submitting articles. Include you name, your business name, the call to action and the link to your site.
